Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa’s contract expires on June 30. Despite limited playing time, the experienced defender will become a free agent, but there’s still interest in his services.
A report on Sunday revealed that Kurzawa is on the radar of various Spanish clubs, including Real Betis. Furthermore, the information notes that concrete discussions have been initiated with the Andalusian club, among others.
However, Real Betis isn’t the only Spanish club that the Frenchman eyes, as Kurzawa’s agent spoke with transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano and offered his client to Manchester City’s sister club, Girona.
“Spanish clubs are interested, I remain convinced that Layvin is a top-level player,” Kurzawa’s agent told Romano (h/t Diario AS). “Girona also interests us, as they have an experienced squad, a beautiful region, and a club that plays football. As I said, several clubs have presented their projects to Layvin, so we will take the time to make a coherent choice.”
The Spanish club, which is also owned by City Group, will likely see players leave this summer after an impressive season so far. Girona currently occupies a UEFA Champions League spot.
As a result, they’ll need not only depth but also players to replace those that big European clubs want. So it comes as no surprise that Kurzawa’s agent is offering his client’s services.
