Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos has had a rollercoaster first season in the French capital. The 22-year-old scored nine goals and registered one assist in 30 appearances across all competitions. However, could he be on the market?
In November, the French champions confirmed they had activated the clause, agreeing to pay the Portuguese giants a potential €80 million, including add-ons, and tie him to a contract until 2028, per GOAL.
Last season, he scored 27 goals and assisted 12 times across 47 appearances in all competitions as Benfica won their 38th league title in 2022-23. Nonetheless, that production has yet to happen this season, and now clubs are circling to see if Ramos is available.
One team that could look to lure Ramos away from the Parisians is Atlético Madrid. According to journalist Rubén Uría, the Spanish club have shown interest in acquiring PSG’s striker.
The club are actively pursuing this opportunity and has initiated contact with the player. How much would he cost now? Transfermarkt puts the player’s value at €50 million, but it’s hard to imagine PSG allowing Ramos to leave after one season.
