A recent report from The Sun revealed an altercation between Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kang-in Lee. Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou spoke on the subject recently when talking to the media.
Postecoglou admitted not knowing any of the details of what transpired between Son and Lee at the 2023 Asian Cup. However, he highlighted the veteran’s leadership qualities, which he possesses at Spurs and with the South Korean national team.
“I don’t know all the details, but what I know of the story is Sonny showing leadership,” Postecoglou said (h/t Fabrizio Romano). “That’s what leadership is all about.
“Leadership is not about being popular and trying to make everybody happy; it’s about when you see something that you don’t feel is right, then you stand up for it because it’s the best thing for the group. I see that in Sonny.
“Sometimes people are mistaken about Sonny because he’s such a positive guy who, whenever you see him, is smiling, and everyone has a real affection for him – but he wants to win.”

Lee’s lawyer has denied allegations of a physical confrontation between the two players. The PSG player’s legal representative stated that he regretted his part in an altercation with Son.
Nonetheless, it was clarified that allegations of Lee swinging at the captain or Son grabbing him by the collar are inaccurate.
The reporting does reveal that the younger players purportedly disagreed with what the veteran players wanted in terms of fostering team cohesion. As a result, it led to a disagreement that escalated into some form of confrontation.
Reading an article, I found PSG takes this matter lightly. Can’t you feel something strong and hard in Ange’s interview as everyone was dumbfounded by Lee’s rude behavior.
Is it more important to clarify swining or punching captain? I say “No”, what he can say now is just “Sorry” for everything happened so far cause of him small or big.
It is already very wrong.
No matter how much you try to cover your player, please regard on good personality protecting players on the field for a fair play spirit.
