The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga continues to drag on, and those in the French media believe it’s time for the 25-year-old to decide.
For most of the January window, the Frenchman has kept himself quiet over his future, and with conflicting reports surfacing every day, it might be time to talk. At least that’s what RMC Sport’s Christophe Dugarry believes the Paris Saint-Germain forward should do.
Dugarry doesn’t blame the media for the commotion over his decision. However, the pundit feels that Mbappé is responsible for putting an end to the circus.
“Kylian Mbappé is not responsible for the circus that is made around him,” Dugarry said (h/t RMC Sport). “I think he is responsible if he quickly stops all this circus. When he knows his decision, he must say it. He must do it. I think that’s the best for everyone. I think this boy still needs to show that he has grown up. He needs to take responsibility for his choices.
On Monday’s edition of Rothen s’enflamme, pundit Jérôme Rothen reported that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner hasn’t decided on his future, even though several outlets are reporting that he has yet to choose a club where he wants to continue his career.
With the UEFA Champions League first-leg match against Real Sociedad coming next week, it’s hard to envision Mbappé stating anything about his future. The team needs to focus on punching their ticket to the quarterfinals.
