Real Madrid’s Offer Falls Short in Kylian Mbappé Transfer Talks

Real Madrid has financial limits that they want to put on the table to land Kylian Mbappé. However, the finances could be what prevents a deal from happening.

The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana reported on Monday that Real Madrid’s offer fell short of the terms presented to him during the club’s prior discussions regarding a potential transfer from PSG in May 2022.

Cortegana adds, citing sources, that two years ago, the La Liga side was offering a €130 million signing bonus and a salary of €26 million per year in 2022.

Although Los Blancos cannot meet PSG’s offer, those familiar with the situation reveal that Florentino Perez believes he has exhaustively pursued the signing of Mbappé, remaining optimistic and hopeful that the player will ultimately accept.

The president of Real Madrid has consistently endeavored to persuade Mbappe that joining the club would significantly elevate his profile in both sports and marketing.

As a result, the offer that they are making could explain why key figures in his inner circle are now hesitant due to reservations about Real Madrid’s offer. Could this all be generating second thoughts for the player and his camp?
