Kylian Mbappé’s future remains uncertain, as the 25-year-old has not decided yet. As the rumors continue, players will be asked about their thoughts regarding the transfer saga.
Real Madrid and Aurélien Tchouaméni secured a 1-0 road win over RB Leipzig in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. However, the midfielder couldn’t escape being asked about Mbappé and whether or not it’s a topic that’s discussed in their dressing room.
He indicated that his teammate in the French national team is a subject of discussion within the Real Madrid locker room, and he expressed the hope of having a clear answer soon.
“If Mbappé announced his decision to me for next season, to me personally? No,” Tchouaméni told CANAL+ (h/t Paris Fans). “And even if he had told me, I wouldn’t have said it!
“We talk about it in the locker room from time to time. It’s an important subject. We hope that things will settle down in the coming weeks.”
Tchouaméni isn’t the only player that’s being asked about the 25-year-old’s future. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz answered a question regarding his teammate’s future. The Spanish international noted that the topic isn’t discussed in the dressing room.
A decision likely isn’t expected since PSG is currently in the UEFA Champions League. Once the campaign ends, then a decision will probably come from the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
