‘He Was Wrong’ – Mbappé Would Need to Make Amends with Real Madrid, per Journalist

If Kylian Mbappé believes that 2024 is the time to leave Paris Saint-Germain, he might be able to waltz into the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. One journalist wants the Frenchman to admit he was wrong to reject the Spanish giants in 2022.

Diario AS journalist Tomás Roncero appeared on Cadena Ser and noted that should the 2018 FIFA World Cup sign with Real Madrid, he owes a debt to the club and supporters for past rejections.

“[Mbappé] would have to acknowledge that he was wrong,” Roncero said (h/t Bernabeu Digital). “He has to say that the debt he owes to Real Madrid is almost impossible to repay; he has to admit his mistake and that money is not important.

“Everything suggests that he is going to arrive and that he is not going to renew. I don’t think there is any other possible scenario than Real Madrid.”

Nonetheless, PSG probably hopes that their new transfer philosophy and a new contract offer could be enough to keep the forward in Paris.

François David, a reporter from Le Parisien, disclosed the detailed financial aspects of PSG’s offer when he participated in a session on El Chiringuito de Jugones’ Twitch channel.

David states that PSG allows Mbappé to extend his contract for an additional two years. The player would have a salary of €80 million per season for the two years he agrees to sign.
