Hugo Ekitike will continue his career with Eintracht Frankfurt as Paris Saint-Germain agreed to a loan deal on Thursday before the January transfer window closed.
Nonetheless, conflicting information exists regarding the loan agreement details between the two parties. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that it will be a loan deal with an obligation to buy for €30 million plus sell-on.

However, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Ekitike’s loan deal is only an option to buy in the summer for Frankfurt; it’s not a mandatory buy option, as Romano informs.

Meanwhile, journalist Ben Jacobs notes that the deal is an option that automatically triggers an obligation under simple conditions, but PSG already considers Ekitike’s exit permanent.

Ekitike, the former Stade de Reims player, will use his move to the Bundesliga to reignite his career. He has yet to feature in any matches this 2023-24 season. Succeeding in Germany will enable him to secure a permanent stay or attract interest from other clubs seeking his talents next summer.
Leading up to his departure, the Frenchman was linked to various clubs, such as Wolfsburg, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Brentford.
