Paris Saint-Germain could be in the mix for a midfielder this summer transfer window. During the January transfer window, one of the names linked to the capital club was Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães.

ESPN recently published an early prediction of where some players could land once the summer transfer window opens. While any pursuit of Guimarães didn’t occur last month, the outlet believes that the Brazilian is PSG-bound in a few months.

“It appears as though Newcastle United will have to offload a star player in 2024 in order to abide by PSR, and although it would break fans’ hearts, the most logical would be Guimarães,” ESPN’s Sam Tighe wrote.

Last month, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that PSG had shown interest in securing Guimarães’ signature this summer. Specific individuals within PSG genuinely appreciate the 26-year-old.

According to a previous report from MARCA, Enrique is obsessed with Guimarães. The Brazilian midfielder is at the top of the list for Enrique to strengthen the midfield.

The rumors will likely resurface once the summer transfer window nears. Nonetheless, landing Guimarães would see him become a pillar in the midfield alongside Warren Zaïre-Emery.
