Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike may be entering the twilight of his tenure with the Parisians. Despite sitting out the first half of the 2023-24 season, the 21-year-old has attracted interest from potential suitors keen on securing his services before the January transfer window concludes.
RMC Sport conveyed that Brentford has extended an offer to secure the services of the striker. Concerned about their precarious 16th position in the rankings, the Bees are keen to bolster their squad to avoid relegation.
However, the Premier League side could miss out on the Frenchman, as L’Equipe Loïc Tanzi reports that Ekitike is getting closer to Eintracht Frankfurt. According to the journalist, the German club and the player are on the verge of finalizing an agreement wherein the player has agreed to a salary reduction.
PSG and Frankfurt are currently negotiating to finalize a loan deal with an option to buy. As of now, the German club has taken a proactive stance, assuming a leading role in the discussions.

Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani joined the squad during the recent summer transfer window to bolster the team’s options in the No. 9 position.
Consequently, manager Luis Enrique has not included the French player in his plans, indicating that a move away from Paris is essential for him to rejuvenate his career.
