Lucas Beraldo Analyzes the Intriguing Aspects of Luis Enrique’s System at PSG

On Monday, Paris Saint-Germain officially welcomed Lucas Beraldo, a 20-year-old talent from São Paulo FC. In an interview with PSG TV, he discussed various topics, including his thoughts on Luis Enrique.

The defender elaborated on his decision-making process and his choice of the French giants. Beraldo noted that Enrique’s system appealed to him, considering the Spanish manager isn’t afraid to put trust in young players.

“Did Luis Enrique’s philosophy appeal to you? Yes, I really identified with his style of play, the way he looks to play the game, and always keep possession of the ball,” Beraldo said. “That’s how I like to play; that’s how I have fun and enjoy myself on the pitch.”

“I think that also played an important role in my decision, as well as the presence of young players and the emphasis the coach places on them.”

Enrique isn’t the only person who might’ve influenced his decision. Beraldo highlighted the impact that playing alongside Marquinhos may have had on his choice to join PSG.

Beraldo has consistently been a cornerstone for the national team in recent years. Consequently, it’s unsurprising that Beraldo desires to share the field with the veteran Brazilian.

The center-back wasn’t supposed to be the lone announcement made on Monday. Former Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo should’ve been part of the unveiling; however, the 18-year-old midfielder suffered a roadblock in beginning his European career.

Moscardo announced in a social media post on Sunday that he will undergo surgery on his left foot. Additionally, the player mentioned that he would be out of action for three months.
