Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham Matches Kylian Mbappé’s Golden Boy Award Feat

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham won the 2023 Golden Boy award on Friday. The Italian outlet Tuttosport presents the award to the best under-21 players in men’s football.

In October, Bellingham earned recognition as the best under-21 player in world football by winning the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or awards. He has now added the Gold Boy award to his collection.

Along with winning the Kopa Trophy, Bellingham ranked 18th in the senior men’s Ballon d’Or due to his performances at Borussia Dortmund. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old’s Gold Boy award matched a feat accomplished by Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé.

B/R Football spotlighted on Twitter that Bellingham received 97% of the votes for Golden Boy 2023. It’s the same share that Mbappé had when the winger won the award in 2017.

Bellingham transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid this past summer window. The Englishman has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 14 games this season with the Spanish giants.
