Real Madrid Scout Will Monitor Three Players in PSG-Newcastle Match, Report Reveals

Real Madrid have their eyes on Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé. The Spanish club hopes to sign the 24-year-old as a free agent next summer, but they can begin talks over a pre-contract in January.

Nonetheless, it seems the La Liga side wants to see how the Frenchman is doing after coming off an ankle injury. According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real are sending their chief scout, Juni Calafat, to “monitor” Mbappé when he takes on Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the report adds that Calafat will be scouting Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimarães as other names that Real Madrid could be interested in.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is playing on an expiring contract after not opting to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, PSG is taking a gamble by keeping him for this 2023-24 season.

PSG has put the winger at the center of their project and brought in more French talent. Now, will this all be enough for him to stay with his hometown club?

As for the Newcastle targets that Real Madrid is eyeing, the report claims that the pair are “on the club’s agenda” and want to “monitor them live in a big match.”
