PSG Ahead of Barcelona, Real Madrid in UEFA Champions League Group Stage Earnings – Report

Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their 2023-24 UEFA Champions League campaign with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund. The capital club picked up all three points and is atop the Group of Death.

Nonetheless, the good news regarding the Champions League doesn’t stop with Tuesday’s victory. Telegraph Football reports that PSG will earn €75 million from the group stages, the most guaranteed earnings of any club this season.

PSG is ahead of Bayern Munich (€66.5 million), Man City (€64.5 million), Barcelona (€63.1 million), and Real Madrid (€62.7 million).

The Ligue 1 giants appear to be financially healthy, considering the departures of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Sergio Ramos created breathing room on their wage bill. Furthermore, the Brazilian’s exit also brought in a reported €90 million from Al-Hilal.

As a result, the Parisians seem to be heading in the right direction regarding their finances even as they move away from the superstar era. PSG spent a lot of money this summer but brought in a significant amount to offset the costs.
