PSG Ahead of Barcelona, Manchester City In Impressive Team Passing Stat

Under new manager Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain has a new system that’s seeing the club dominate and move the football. While the capital club generated back-to-back draws to open the 2023-24 Ligue 1 season, the offense for PSG is beginning to click.

The French giants have scored seven goals in their last two contests, so the tactics the Spanish are implementing are beginning to take shape. Furthermore, the passing has been a highlight of Enrique’s style, and PSG is among the top squads in that department.

WhoScored revealed the teams with the highest passing success rate in the top five leagues in Europe. So, who’s at the top? It’s PSG with a 92.6 percent success rate. Behind the French are FC Barcelona (90.6 percent ) and Manchester City (90.3 percent).

Enrique and Co will now attempt to translate this system into the UEFA Champions League. PSG has a tough challenge if they want to get out of the group stage, as they’ll face AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Newcastle United.

It will be interesting to see if the French side can maintain this passing level throughout the season.
