Lionel Messi Trades in Paris for Luxury South Florida Home

Lionel Messi is putting his tough times in Paris behind him. The 36-year-old is getting accustomed to playing with Inter Miami and has even secured the MLS club’s first trophy after winning Leagues Cup 2023.

However, the former Paris Saint-Germain star isn’t only getting used to South Florida out on the pitch. After splurging on a luxury home in Fort Lauderdale, Messi is making it his home area.

Messi has purchased a $10.75 million waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale. The house has 10,500 square feet with 10 beds, nine baths, 170 feet of waterfront, a pool, and two docks.

The home investment likely signals that the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner will retire after playing for Inter Miami. The Argentine signed a contract with the South Florida-based club until December 2025. So the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner will be 38 once his contract runs out.

Will he want to continue or begin his post-playing career? Nonetheless, Messi will have a stake in owning Inter Miami, so he can start sliding into management as soon as he hangs up his boots.
