AC Milan Receives High Praise from PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi

Paris Saint-Germain will have a challenging task if they want to advance into the UEFA Champions League group stage. The capital club finds itself in Group F, which is the group of death. It contains AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Newcastle United.

While this tournament is challenging for PSG, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been very complimentary of AC Milan. Al-Khelaifi has always spoken highly of the Ligue 1 side’s in the Champions League, so this is no surprise.

“We are in the Champions League, the best competition in the world where the best clubs play,” Al-Khelaifi told reporters Thursday (h/t Sempre Milan).

“If you play this competition you have to be ready to face the best, and Milan is one of the best clubs in the world with a very important history, that they have a great team and it will be nice to come and play at San Siro where we haven’t played yet.”

PSG drawing into this competitive group is likely why they had to push to land Bradley Barcola and Randal Kolo Muani. Perhaps the French club had to beef up their attack.

The Parisians might know they will need to score goals. As a result, can’t solely count on Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, and Gonçalo Ramos.

Each contest will be must-watch television as a loss can significantly affect any team attempting to finish in the top two and advance to the group stage. So, for anyone with no rooting interest, they’ll be in for a treat; meanwhile, supporters will likely be stressed each matchday.
