Mauricio Pochettino Breaks Silence over Rumors Linking Mbappé to Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain finds itself in a transfer saga involving Kylian Mbappé. The 24-year-old doesn’t enter the capital club’s plans going forward and has put him up for sale.

Over the last few days, Mbappé’s name has been linked to various clubs, including Chelsea. As a result, Real Madrid isn’t the only one that could secure the player if they gave him an offer with an enticing salary and sporting project.

Amid the rumors, former PSG boss and current Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino had to answer a question regarding the whispers linking the English club to the Frenchman.

“Everything you talk is too much noise,” Pochettino said (h/t Evening Standard). “It is a situation that is very delicate and one they need to fix in Paris with Kylian. For our side I have nothing to say.

“We are working on our reality, our reality is different. From my side, nothing to say, only to support them. I hope they find a solution for both sides. It is a club that I love because I was a player, a captain and a coach. With Kylian we created a very good relationship, I hope they can find the best solution for both sides.”

It’s doubtful that Mbappé ends up in London, but with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly anything is possible. The American may present a convincing pitch to the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Nonetheless, for PSG, it’s about beginning their new project with manager Luis Enrique. The Ligue 1 giants want to move off their star player rather than have the situation linger.

Still, a move has yet to happen, and only one more month is left until the summer transfer window closes. Time is ticking for PSG to indeed hit the reset button.
