Manchester City Moves to Retain Bernardo Silva, Ward Off PSG Interest – Report

Manchester City is making moves to secure the future of one of their star players, Bernardo Silva. The 28-year-old has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain throughout the summer transfer window.

Silva won the treble in the 2022-23 season with the Premier League club. As a result, the Portugal international could seek a new challenge while he’s still in his prime.

Despite having a contract until 2025, Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City is keen to tie down Silva with a new contract and prevent him from making a potential move to the French capital.

The 2022 UEFA Champions League winner has been a pivotal figure at Manchester City since joining the club from AS Monaco in 2017. The information from Romano doesn’t share the term or the amount the English club would hand over to Silva.

Nonetheless, it should be a lucrative offer that keeps Silva from considering an exit this summer. Ultimately, the decision lies with Silva as he considers his options and weighs a potential move and a new venture.
