Kylian Mbappe to Arsenal? Mikel Arteta Clarifies Club’s Position

If Kylian Mbappe isn’t going to sign a new contract, then Paris Saint-Germain officially opened the door for a transfer this summer.

The capital club left the 24-year-old off their squad that will be heading on their tour of Asia. With the French giants willing to sell Mbappe to the highest bidder, any club can present an offer.

As a result, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked about going after the Frenchman. The Spanish tactician shut down rumors of the Gunners going after the PSG star.

“You know I never talk about players that don’t play for our club,” Arteta said. “I’m sorry.”

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Ligue 1 side wants to sell the 2018 FIFA Winner as soon as possible, considering he’ll be a free agent next summer. This scenario became a reality after Mbappe opted not to trigger his option to extend his contract until 2025.

PSG won’t give any veto to any club, so Saudi Arabian deal makers are reportedly moving for Mbappe. However, everyone is watching what Real Madrid does next and whether they’ll make a mover for him.
