PSG Project: The Next Big Challenge for Former Barcelona Manager? – Report

Luis Enrique is one of the managers heavily linked to take over the Paris Saint-Germain managerial job this summer.

After the Parisian project didn’t convince former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann, many other managerial candidates have begun a carousel. One of the names in the mix is the former FC Barcelona boss.

Le Parisien reported on Sunday that Enrique remains a serious candidate for the job. The French media outlet also noted that the discourse among the Spanish tactician’s entourage has evolved.

Initially, the rumors were denied, as a report from Mundo Deportivo supports this claim. Nonetheless, Le Parisien explains that Paris has a great team that mainly attracts him.

Enrique has been unemployed since leaving his post as the Spain national team manager after the 2022 FIFA World Cup last December. The 53-year-old does have UEFA Champions League experience, having won the tournament during the 2014-15 season.

Furthermore, if a player like Neymar Jr. remains in the French capital, then PSG would be bringing in a manager that can get the best out of the Brazilian.
