The French giants had negotiated with Leipzig in 2019 a premium of around 15 percent on the capital gain of a possible transfer.
Nkunku came up through PSG’s youth system and appeared on the first team. However, like many young players with the capital club, he sought more playing time, resulting in his move to Germany.
The 25-year-old flourished at Leipzig, appearing in 172 appearances in all competitions, scoring 70 goals and registering 56 assists.
Georginio Wijnaldum has an uncertain future
PSG will have several loanees returning, and one of them is Georginio Wijnaldum. The 32-year-old was on loan to AS Roma, but the Serie A side opted not to make his stay permanent.
With Wijnaldum not having a future in Paris, Foot Mercato (h/t Paris Fans) reported on Tuesday that clubs have recently come forward with the player’s entourage. However, they’re at a caliber equal to those of PSV and Feyenoord and do not suit the requirements of the midfielder.
Another possibility has emerged from Saudi Arabia, which has been on their radar for a few weeks. The former Liverpool star claims to let his agent do his best to find him the best opportunity.
It will be interesting to see what Wijnaldum does with his future, as it won’t be in Paris.
