How Luis Enrique Arrival at PSG Can Impact Hakimi, per CBS Sports Reporter

It’s only a matter of time before Luis Enrique officially takes over as Paris Saint-Germain’s manager. While there’s excitement for what the Spanish manager can bring, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Johnson noted that Achraf Hakimi could benefit from his arrival.

Known for his attacking prowess and defensive capabilities, Hakimi could thrive under Enrique’s guidance and tactical approach. After an impressive 2022 FIFA World Cup, many hope that PSG can see that player in the French capital, and perhaps Enrique can get that out of Hakimi.

“[Enrique’s] ability to communicate clearly with Hakimi could help him to get to the bottom of the versatile 24-year-old’s struggles which have cast doubt on his Parc des Princes future of late, while keeping Hakimi onside could also aid the chances of holding on to talisman Kylian Mbappé who could be in line to become captain under Luis Enrique’s leadership,” Johnson wrote in his column for PSG Talk.

“This change in boss does not address the serious allegations leveled against the Moroccan star away from the field, but it does hint at renewed focus from Hakimi, which could be key to rediscovering something close to his best form.”

Under Enrique’s system, Hakimi will likely have more freedom to push forward, overlap with the wingers, and provide crosses into the box. As a result, this could enable him to unleash his full attacking potential and become a pivotal contributor to PSG’s offensive game plan.

The 53-year-old understands how to extract the best out of his squad members and create a conducive environment for their development. Hakimi could enhance his decision-making abilities, improve his defensive positioning, and refine his overall game with his guidance.
