The future of Kylian Mbappé is a topic of discussion around football after the 24-year-old opted not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, many wonder what the future holds for him.
Mbappé’s Paris Saint-Germain teammates have commented on the France international’s decision. Midfielder Fabián Ruiz, who spoke with Relevo about Mbappé, is the latest to share his thoughts on whether the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will remain with the French giants.
“I haven’t spoken to him,” Ruiz told the Spanish media outlet. “I know the same as everyone else, what I’ve read. He said he’s staying, he wants to stay another year in Paris and it’s a privilege to have him as a partner. It gives us a lot. Hope he stays.”

With rumors over a possible exit this summer, the links to Real Madrid have surfaced again for Mbappé. The Spanish club wanted to land the PSG star last year, but he opted to stay with his hometown club.
Nonetheless, if Mbappé chooses not to extend his contract, then it’s reported that PSG will open up discussions to sell him. The forward has stated he wants to play this 2023-24 season with the Ligue 1 side, but they cannot afford to lose a player on a free next summer.
