Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly working around the uncertain future of Kylian Mbappé. Despite the elephant in the room, the capital club has their priority targets this summer: Victor Osimhen and Bernardo Silva.
RMC Sport’s Jérôme Rothen revealed the latest regarding PSG’s summer transfer window plans, which appear not to be changing regardless of the Mbappé situation.
“It’s true that the Mbappé case raises questions for the club,” Rothen said (h/t RMC Sport). “The leaders are still working around a Mbappé present at PSG. Behind them, there are two priorities: Victor Osimhen in attack and Bernardo Silva.
“They want to do everything to make these two players. They want a workforce that is more collectively oriented with a lot of player changes. This is the priority. And if there are offers, Neymar will no longer be there.”
PSG needs a striker regardless of whether Mbappé stays with the 2022-23 Ligue 1 champions this summer transfer window. Over the last few months, Osimhen has been a name that has constantly sounded around PSG due to his connection with sporting advisor Luis Campos.
The Nigerian international won’t come cheap, as the French giants must fork over a significant sum to land the 24-year-old. Sky Sports Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed Victor Osimhen will cost €150 million this summer.
As for Silva, the Portugal international appears to want a new challenge after winning the treble with Manchester City last season. Perhaps being part of the first team to win a UEFA Champions League in Paris is enticing.
