After nearly an hour of play, Paris Saint-Germain found an insurance goal to go up two over ES Troyes AC at the Stade de l’Aube.
Kylian Mbappé scored a header in the first half, and following a flurry of chances for Troyes, Vitinha was able to double PSG’s lead.
Marco Verratti played a brilliant ball into the box where Vitinha found some space. His glancing header was saved by Gauthier Gallon, but the rebound went right to the Portugal international and deflected into the goal for his second in Ligue 1.

The win puts PSG closer to the Ligue 1 title. With three points against Troyes, PSG’s lead over RC Lens at the top of the table would increase to six with only four matches left to play.
Overall, it’s been a solid performance for PSG without the suspended Lionel Messi. Christophe Galtier has been able to keep the team focused amid plenty of distractions, and they appear well on their way to a victory.
