PSG Takes Stance on Achraf Hakimi Amid Link to Real Madrid – Report

The 2022-23 season is ending soon and the futures of various players on the Paris Saint-Germain are beginning to hit the rumor mill.

L’Équipe reported on Saturday that Achraf Hakimi is questioning his future in the French capital as the Morocco international still dreams of returning home to Real Madrid, even if his entourage refuses to comment on a possible departure from PSG.

However, Foot Mercato also shared information regarding Hakimi’s future and noted that PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi does not want to let Hakimi leave this summer and is very fond of the player.

The information relayed from L’Equipe that the conversation regarding Hakimi has provoked internal criticism and irritated the staff, who expect more from their right side.

While Hakimi was playing with discomfort in the thigh after the 2022 World Cup, his entourage ensured that he is deprived of a lot of balls in a system that is not made “to enhance his qualities,” according to a source close to the player.

In addition, some internal elements at PSG would report a bad influence of Hakimi on Kylian Mbappé. Nonetheless, if the club president wants the 24-year-old to remain, he will likely stay, barring a major offer.

The right-back is under contract at PSG until 2026.
