Messi Could Reach a Historic Feat in Potential Final Two Matches at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain has a mere two matches left on its Ligue 1 schedule this season, and these matches could be the final ones for Lionel Messi with the club. Messi will become a free agent after this season, and he has been linked with several clubs as of late, including Barcelona.

Messi has reached a multitude of historic feats in his ongoing second season at PSG, and he is on the doorstep of once again doing just that.

Messi is a mere three goals away from scoring the 700th non-penalty goal of his career. Overall, he has tallied a combined 805 goals in his career across his runs at Barcelona, PSG, and the Argentina national team, with 108 of them coming from the penalty spot.

The Argentine forward currently sits at 20 goals scored in all competitions with PSG this season, to go along with four goals logged with La Albiceleste in the calendar year.

Messi will have an opportunity to reach the 700 non-penalty goals mark in PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixtures against Strasbourg and Clermont Foot. If he fails to score three goals over these two matches, then he will have to wait until Argentina’s June international friendly schedule to get another opportunity to reach this feat.
