Not many clubs in Europe’s top five leagues bolstered their midfield depth last year as Paris Saint-Germain did so. PSG signed four midfielders during the summer transfer window, including former La Liga talents Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler.

PSG has reportedly once again turned its attention to La Liga as it seeks to soon bring in midfield reinforcements.

According to a report from El Nacional, PSG is showing an early interest in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The veteran Spanish midfielder is currently set to become a free agent after this season, and El Nacional notes that he would be open to parting ways with Los Blancos.

Ceballos has had a roller-coaster campaign with Real Madrid this season. He emerged as a regular starter for a brief period of time during the middle of the season, but he has fallen out of favor with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti as of late. The midfielder’s last start for Real Madrid came back in its 1-1 draw result against Atletico Madrid in February.

Overall, PSG currently has six midfielders on its roster, including Marco Verratti.
