Neymar made his long-awaited return to Paris amid his injury rehab process.
Paris Saint-Germain announced on Thursday that Neymar was cleared to fly from Brazil to Paris, France after he received “reassuring results from his tests.” The Brazilian forward will now carry on with his “rehabilitation protocol” with PSG’s medical staff.
PSG added that Neymar was also cleared to remove his protective boot on Thursday.
Neymar has been out of action since suffering a season-ending ankle injury during PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Lille OSC in February. He wound up undergoing surgery on his right ankle in March, and he was ruled out for the remainder of PSG’s ongoing campaign.
Neymar had spent the past weeks in Brazil rehabbing his injury, and he will now continue to recover from his ailment in Paris.
Neymar was a standout performer when available for PSG this season. He still ranks in the top five in goal contributions in Ligue 1 play this season with 24.
