Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is one of the targets Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos has on his list to fill the No. 9 position for the 2023-24 season.
A recent report revealed that the capital club had established contacts with the Nigeria international; however, Mundo Deportivo reported on Thursday (h/t Culture PSG) that those close to the player deny any discussions with PSG.
“Everything that is said is false,” the entourage member told the Spanish media outlet. “It’s early to talk about the transfer window. A lot of people try to destabilize at this point. There is nothing.”
Nonetheless, while Campos would like to reunite with the player who he had at Lille OSC, the feeling reportedly isn’t mutual. For Osimhen, it appears as though a move to the Premier League is the priority, with Chelsea and Manchester United likely in the mix.
Osimhen also has Bayern Munich as his second option if a transfer to the Premier League doesn’t work out this summer. Then, the French giants come in as a third option.
Whichever club decides to pursue the 24-year-old this summer transfer window will need to pay a significant sum as Napoli is rumored to want a €150 million transfer fee for the talent.
