Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos appears to be in the striker market this summer transfer window. The Portuguese club chief reportedly met with the agent for Victor Osimhen this international window.
Campos had Osimhen while at Lille OSC, but it will cost the capital club a significant amount if he wants a reunion. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (h/t Canal Supporters) revealed the sum Napoli wants for the Nigerian international.
Di Marzio estimates that he will leave Napoli for a sum of between €130 million and €150 million, which Manchester United can afford. Osimhen has had a magical 2022-23 season that has allowed Napoli to have a stranglehold on their Serie A lead.
The 24-year-old has scored 25 goals in 29 competitions for the Italian club. As for PSG, it wouldn’t make sense to pay this amount for a player knowing they have other needs on the squad.
Furthermore, Financial Fair Play is monitoring the situation, so if Campos wants to add another striker to compete with Hugo Ekitiké for the 2023-24 season, he might have to look at other options at a more reasonable fee considering the obstacles.
