This 2022-23 football season has been a bounce-back performance for Lionel Messi. The veteran goal scorer has shown that he can still play at a high level despite some believing the Argentine’s best years were behind him after his first season at Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi has 15 goals and 14 assists in 24 games in all competitions this season. Anytime the 35-year-old finds the back of the net, PSG can chalk that contest up as a win.
Since Messi’s arrival in 2021, the capital club has yet to lose a fixture anytime the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner scores a goal. The PSG star has 26 goals in 21 games during his tenure and the French giants have 19 of the 21 contests, with the other two results being draws and zero losses.

With the reigning Ligue 1 champions leaning on Messi these last two games with no Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr., the former FC Barcelona star has responded with two goals and two wins.
PSG hopes Messi can continue this goal-scoring stretch with their other star players out, especially with the upcoming first-leg clash UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich on Feb. 14.
