Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has scored the biggest goal of his career.
In the second extra time period of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final, Lautaro Martinez had yet another crucial shot attempt against France, but he failed to hit the back of the net. Fortunately for Argentina, Messi was there at the right place and at the right time to score an empty net goal.
The Argentina national team ended up celebrating in jubilant joy after it was confirmed that Messi’s shot attempt did cross the line.
"He's just 5'7 but he rises above all others!" 🙌
Lionel Messi bundles the ball over the line and may have just won the game for Argentina… 🇦🇷
