Transfer News: PSG Eyeing Real Madrid Winger Who Becomes Free Agent in June

Over the last few summer transfer windows, Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t been shy of diving into the free agent pool to bring in talents, such as Lionel Messi and Gianluigi Donnarumma arrived at the capital club.

Despite changing management, going from Leonardo to Luis Campos, the Portuguese club chief isn’t going to hesitate to pursue a player who’s a free agent. One of the targets is reportedly Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio.

According to Sport, Campos wants Asensio because the 26-year-old can be a player capable of playing on the wings or as a false No. 9. Nonetheless, the Spanish club isn’t ready to let him go as they’d like to extend the winger.

With Asensio’s contract expiring in June, he can talk with any club in a few days when the January transfer window opens and agree to a pre-contract for the 2023-24 season. Asensio has appeared in 250 matches for Real Madrid during his time with the La Liga giant, scoring 52 goals and recording 27 assists.
