Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi holds numerous impressive records in his career, and he managed to add another historic record to his grand collection on Wednesday.
The Argentina national team took care of business in its final group stage match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as it cruised to a 2-0 win over Poland. Messi featured in the 22nd career fixture of his World Cup career, which broke a tie with Diego Maradona for the most matches played at the sport’s biggest tournament for La Albiceleste.
