Ligue 1: French Press Reveals How Soon Mbappe, Neymar Will Play for PSG

It’s time for players at Paris Saint-Germain to put the 2022 FIFA World Cup behind them and focus on the task at hand for the capital club, which is to will all the silverware, including the UEFA Champions League.

The French giants will kickstart their 2022-23 Ligue 1 season against Strasbourg on Wednesday at the Parce des Princes. One player that won’t be playing or in attendance is Lionel Messi, who remains on vacation after winning the World Cup with Argentina.

However, L’Equipe (h/t Canal Supporters) reported on Monday that Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe could be ready to see minutes this week; whether or not manager Christophe Galtier will put them into the game is another question.

Galtier might want to see if the team can secure the three points this week with Strasbourg in town before he looks over to the bench and calls upon either Mbappe or Neymar.

PSG then has a match on New Year’s Day when they hit the road to face RC Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in a matchup that sees the two top clubs this season. There Galtier might want his two superstars ready for 90 minutes of action.
