As has been the case as of late, Neymar once again orchestrated a potent showing for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 play. The Brazilian forward chipped in with a goal and an assist in PSG’s 2-1 away victory over Lorient on Ligue 1 matchday 14.
Neymar simply continues to string together top-class performances for PSG in all competitions this season. For one, he has recorded five total goal contributions in his last three appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
For Neymar, as he told Prime Video Sport France after the match, he credits his standout start to the season to that the fact that he has been injury-free.
“I feel very good right now,” Neymar said. “The last few years I had several serious injuries that handicapped me. I’m happy to be able to play football again like I do now. I’m enjoying it.”
Over the years, Neymar garnered a reputation for being an injury-prone player, but this has not been the case this season. Overall, the Brazilian forward sits at 19 appearances for PSG in all competitions in the ongoing campaign.
For now, Neymar and PSG will look ahead to next week’s Ligue 1 home matchup against AJ Auxerre.
