For one, Messi has scored in three different World Cups over his run with the Argentina national team; he logged at least one goal in the 2006, 2014, and 2018 editions of the World Cup.
If Messi manages to score a mere one goal in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup, then he will become the fifth player ever to notch at least one goal in four different editions of the sport’s most prestigious tournament. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, Uwe Seeler, and Miroslav Klose have accomplished this historic feat.
