Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos could be looking to build the capital club attack for the future. This past summer, the Portuguese club chief added Hugo Ekitike, and now Désiré Doué is on their radar.
French publication Foot Mercato reported on Wednesday that Campos particularly appreciates Doué and would like to bring him to if the 17-year-old cannot sign a contract extension with Stade Rennais.
Doué’s deal expires in 2024, and Foot Mercato adds to their report that the player’s father is playing hardball with the French club in their contract negotiations.
As both sides are in discussions, Doué’s father wants to include some critical details in the negotiations, such as a salary commensurate with the talent and weight his son is gaining at the club.
The teenager has 11 fixtures under his belt for Rennes this 2022-23 football season, where he has scored three goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side.
With Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. in their 30s, Campos could be plotting for the future.
