For the second time in his Paris Saint-Germain career, Sergio Ramos has been sent off during a Ligue 1 fixture.
Dion Lopy took on challenges from both Ramos and Marco Verratti on a solo run during Reims’ home league matchup against PSG. It was Verratti who halted the run from Lopy, and match referee Pierre Gaillouste stopped play following the Italian midfielder’s challenge.
The Spanish center-back was not too pleased with the call from Gaillouste and was issued a caution for argument. Ramos was not done there, as he ended up getting a bit too close to Gaillouste and also exchanged a few words with him. Gaillouste then decided to give the veteran defender a straight red card.
Multiple PSG players argued the call, but it did not change Gaillouste’s decision.
