Report: PSG Advising Inter Milan Star Defender Not to Extend Contract

Despite not landing Inter Milan defender Milan Škriniar, Paris Saint-Germain is not giving up their pursuit of the 27-year-old.

The French giants were linked to the Slovakia international throughout the summer transfer window. Still, the Italian club stayed firm in their asking price despite Škriniar having one year on his contract.

Additionally, PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos wanted to avoid bending and paying the amount requested by the Serie A side.

TuttoSport (h/t Canal Supporters) reported on Wednesday that PSG would have taken action to make the player understand that he should not sign a new contract with Inter Milan.

In January, the French giants could begin talking with Škriniar over a pre-contract to sign him in the summer for the upcoming 2023-24 football season.

As a result, if the defender reaches the winter transfer window without a new contract, it’s music to the Ligue 1 giants’ ears. Furthermore, should Inter Milan be inclined to accept an offer and not lose the player on a free transfer.
