Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t shopped in the Brazilian market for quite a while, but that could change under sporting advisor Luis Campos.

Recent reports suggest that the capital club is in the mix for Vasco da Gama midfielder Andrey Santos, who is linked to various European clubs. However, there’s a new challenger to acquire the young talent from Brazil.

The Shields Gazette reported on Thursday that Aston Villa has reportedly joined the race to sign the starlet. Santos has been eyed by European clubs, including Barcelona, PSG, and Newcastle United.

As a result, the teenager could be set for a big-money move to the continent in January. However, the Brazilian side is yet to receive a proposal for Santos and is reportedly holding out for a £26million fee for the 18-year-old.

Should PSG secure the midfielder, it would be another addition to the position that has seen a makeover in the summer, with sporting advisor Luis Campos making four additions.
