Before the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1, Paris Saint-Germain is keen on adding a central defender. Inter Milan’s Milan Škriniar remains the top target, but with only a couple of weeks left, discussions aren’t progressing.
L’Equipe (via Hadrien Grenier) reports that PSG has still not given up on the idea of recruiting Škriniar. The player and his agent have an agreement with PSG regarding personal terms.
However, the French publication adds that the pursuit for the 27-year-old is no longer advancing despite Antero Henrique’s numerous contacts with Inter Milan. The Italian club has their asking price, and the Ligue 1 giants have yet to reach that this summer.
As a result, Campos could have to look at Plan B options with only a couple of weeks left until the summer transfer window closes. The Slovakia international is their top target, but at some point, PSG will have to either meet the asking price or look at other defenders.
Les Parisiens want to add another center-back that will go along with Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, and Sergio Ramos as part of their three-at-the-back system.
