Paris Saint-Germain is attempting to sell their central defender Abdou Diallo, and the 26-year-old has seen his name linked to various clubs this summer transfer window. However, no move has occurred for the Senegal international.

Now, one team is pulling out as a possible destination for the defender as TUTTOmercatoWEB‘s Marco Conterio reported on Thursday that AC Milan has pulled out of the race for Diallo.

Conterio adds that the Serie A side has not seen the player convinced and willing to wear the AC Milan shirt and closed negotiations with PSG over the defender, who is valued at €18 million by Transfermarkt.

The summer transfer window closes in a few days on Sept. 1, so it will be interesting to see if the capital club would be okay having the defender remain should no deal arise.

Nonetheless, with the FIFA World Cup in November and inconsistent playing time, remaining at PSG for Diallo wouldn’t be the best, considering he wants to be in form heading to Qatar.
