It was 10 years ago today that Marco Verratti signed with Paris Saint-Germain. The Italian midfielder joined PSG from Serie B side Pescara, and the rest has been history from there. He has so far played in 378 matches in all competitions with PSG and has won at least one trophy in four different competitions.
PSG TV shared video recorded messages from several players on the club about Verratti’s run with the reigning Ligue 1 champions. Among them, Sergio Ramos, who has only played in one season with Verratti, took some time to laud the midfielder.
“Marco Verratti, on the field, is a very supportive player, very generous, who runs when his teammates can’t,” Ramos said. “A decisive player who gives balance to PSG and to the Italian national team.
“He is a world-class player.”
Verratti is set to feature in his 11th campaign with PSG, and he will have an opportunity to soon win his 29th trophy with the club in the upcoming 2022 Trophee des Champions Final against Nantes.
