PSG Makes Decision on Possible Interest in Man United’s Cristiano Ronaldo

Over the last few weeks, the name Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain. The 37-year-old wants to play UEFA Champions League football, and after finishing outside the top four, he won’t get that at Manchester United.

As a result, there are questions regarding his future. According to Le Parisien, Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent, hoped to have used his relationship with sporting advisor Luis Campos and offer his client to the capital club. Still, PSG would close the door to such an operation that promises to be complicated financially and sportingly.

However, it seems as though PSG is turning a new leaf as in the past; they would be over the opportunity to put Ronaldo alongside Lionel Messi for the marketing and spectacle reasons of having those two players together.

It seems as though the Ligue 1 champions are putting the sporting aspects ahead of marketing and being able to draw eyes to the fixtures. With Kylian Mbappe extending, his desire to have the club put forth a squad constructed through sport is sinking in.
