Chelsea has been one of the clubs connected to Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr., as the 30-year-old has had his name in the rumor mill over the past week. However, despite the reports, Sky Sports says that The Blues are focusing on other deals.
Instead of concentrating on Neymar and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Chelsea would like to secure deals for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Leeds United’s Raphinha.
The English media outlet states that the Premier League side has advanced talks over a deal for Sterling. Furthermore, the club will only sign players manager Thomas Tuchel wants.
Also, this would back a recent report from the London Evening News, which says that the German tactician isn’t interested in the Brazilian despite coaching him in the French capital and the Portuguese international.
It’s likely that, at least for Neymar, he will remain with PSG this season as a transfer would prove difficult considering the fee that a club would need to pay along with the wages.
