For the last couple of years, it’s been Paris Saint-Germain grabbing FC Barcelona players, with Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi leaving the Spanish club for the French capital. Furthermore, there’s a report that the Ligue 1 side is interested in midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
Nonetheless, it seems as though one soon-to-be ex-PSG player could be making the transition from PSG to Barcelona. According to Spanish football journalist Roger Torelló (via Barca Times), Angel Di Maria is an option for the La Liga squad this upcoming season.
The Spanish media outlet reports that Di María is waiting for Barcelona to make a move for him. The 34-year-old could be an option for Barça if Ousmane Dembélé’s contract extension talks dissolve and Leeds United’s Raphinha is not signed.
Di María coming in as a free agent would help Barcelona, who is keen on adding cheaper talent to maximize their spending at another position this summer. It will be interesting to see whether Di María ends up at the Camp Nou or whether there are some legs to this report.
