PSG Mercato: A Major Hurdle Prevents Paris SG From Advancing in Talks for Inter Milan Star

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain could be looking to reinforce their backline, with Marquinhos being the only dependable central defender.

Presnel Kimpembe can be inconsistent and has two years left on his deal, but he is already discussing his next contract. Then there’s Sergio Ramos, who spent most of last season dealing with injuries.

Nonetheless, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that PSG is interested in Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, who is also intrigued about the possibility of joining the French giants. However, there is a problem; Inter Milan keeps the transfer demand to let him go very high.

The Serie A side’s asking price is currently holding back the PSG, which is held steady for now, without leaning any further. Inter Milan needs to close the market with a surplus of €60-million; as a result, a marquee player could be sacrificed to fall within the parameters.

Skriniar’s contract expires next year, and Italian cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer. So this summer will likely be the last time they can secure a fee for the 27-year-old. Both parties have a working relationship after securing the Achraf Hakimi deal.

It will be interesting to see if this proceeds any further.
